How it works…

Only breweries with 3 or more reviews included.

 

Breweries are rated on:

Firstly average rating out of seven. If a tie, then number of reviews, then the best ale they have, then SD (standard deviation) which shows how consistent the brewery is – the smaller the value the more consistent. The % is the average strength of ale from the brewer – this is not included in the league table positioning.

 

The Zones

All breweries with an average score above 5 are included in the brown zone. Those with an average between 4 and 5 are in the orange zone. 3 to 4 are the yellow zone and below three 3 is the red zone –warning!
