Care of your Mini Cask - Ale - Traditional
This is cask-conditioned beer containing live yeast, it needs to be kept upright and cool, but not refrigerated.
Allow the sediment to settle for at least 3-4 hours before drinking. Before venting pull out the tap and pour out some beer into a glass in order to release pressure prior to opening the top valve (opens by turning from 0 to 1).This will avoid beer squirting through the vent and being lost. Best opened within the Best Before Date and once opened consume within 2-3 days. Always close the vent at the top of the cask after serving to maintain condition.
N.B. If the cask is moved after opening the sediment will be disturbed and the beer will be cloudy.
Care of your Mini Cask - Long Life
This beer contains no yeast and therefore doesn’t require settling time for any sediment. It may be refrigerated if desired. Activate the CO2 on the top of the minicask before dispense. Pull out the tap and enjoy your beer. This beer can last for up to a month if not drunk first.
